Ephesians Ch. 4 ” Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ forgave you”.
Kindness is something our world is desperate for, with all the fears and anxiety that we have faced and are still facing with the pandemic. Everyone should have a kind word or gesture. Do you find that when you are out walking now, you make time to stop and chat to people, normally we would be rushing on and perhaps going “nowhere”. As Christians, God calls us to be the light of the world – to love and be kind to all, even our enemies. Last week, Lauder Common Riding was very, very different, but there were kindness in abundance, with lots going on by way of technology, which someone was kind enough to organise. God wants us to go about our lives and practice kindness and it to be part of our living as followers of Christ.
In loving kindness Jesus came, my soul in mercy to re-claim, And from the depth of sin and same,
Through grace he lifted me.
